The addition of Jaime Echenique (26 years old, 2.08 meters) to Prometheus took official form, with the Patrinos announcing the acquisition of the Colombian center.

The Patrinos had agreed with the player for their cooperation, with the agreement taking an official form and Echenique playing in the new season at "D. Tofalos".

Jaime Echenique was born on April 27, 1997 in Barranquilla, Colombia. He sees the world from 211 cm and competes in the "5" position. He started his career with the NCAA and the Wichita State Shockers (2018-20), while in the 2020-21 season he played for the first time in his career in Europe, on behalf of the Spanish Gipuzkoa, recording excellent numbers. In the 2021-22 season he became the first Colombian to earn a spot in the NBA by signing with the Washington Wizards and played for the Capital City Go – Go and Motor City Cruise in the G-League. At the end of the 2022-23 season he returned to Europe, on behalf of Lithuanian Rytas, supporting them in the finals against Zalgiris. There, he adapted very quickly and averaged 14.2 points and 4.5 rebounds, helping his team to look very competitive and eventually lose the title by a thread, with an overall score of 3-2.

Επίσημη μορφή πήρε η προσθήκη του Χάιμε Ετσενίκε (26 χρόνων, 2.08 μέτρα) στον Προμηθέα, με τους Πατρινούς να ανακοινώνουν την απόκτησή του Κολομβιανού σέντερ.

Ο Προμηθέας Πάτρας γεμίζει τη ρακέτα του με ύψος και δύναμη, ανακοινώνοντας τον Κολομβιανό σέντερ, Χάιμε Ετσενίκε (26 χρόνων, 2.08 μέτρα).

Οι Πατρινοί είχαν συμφωνήσει με τον παίκτη για τη συνεργασία τους, με τη συμφωνία να παίρνει επίσημη μορφή και τον Ετσενίκε να αγωνίζεται τη νέα σεζόν στο "Δ. Τόφαλος".

Ο Κολομβιανός ψηλός, έκλεισε την περσινή αγωνιστική περίοδο στην Ρίτας Βίλνιους, ενώ έχει αγωνιστεί και στο NBA με τους Ουάσινκγτον Γουίζαρντς.

Ο Jaime Echenique γεννήθηκε στις 27 Απριλίου του 1997 στη Barranquilla της Κολομβίας. Βλέπει τον κόσμο από τα 211 εκατοστά και αγωνίζεται στη θέση «5». Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα του από το NCAA και τους Wichita State Shockers (2018-20), ενώ τη σεζόν 2020-21 έπαιξε για πρώτη φορά στην καριέρα του στην Ευρώπη, για λογαριασμό της ισπανικής Gipuzkoa, καταγράφοντας εξαιρετικά νούμερα. Στα τέλη της σεζόν 2022-23 επέστρεψε στην Ευρώπη, για λογαριασμό της λιθουανικής Rytas, ενισχύοντάς την στους τελικούς με τη Zalgiris. Εκεί, προσαρμώστηκε πολύ γρήγορα και μέτρησε 14,2 πόντους και 4,5 ριμπάουντ, βοηθώντας την ομάδα του να φανεί ιδιαίτερα ανταγωνιστική και τελικά να χάσει στο «νήμα» τον τίτλο, με συνολικό σκορ 3-2.
