Panathinaikos, in a terrible match at Rentis, took the second final (1-3 set) against Olympiakos, made it 2-0 in the series of finals and took a big lead for the title!

The team of Yannis Kalmazidis in an impressive derby at "Melina Merkouri" won 3-1 sets, made it 2-0 in the women's Volley League finals series and awaits the "eternal" opponent at the closed OAKA on Saturday (6/5 ) to make it 3-0 and celebrate the 25th championship.

Shocking variation in the match with Panathinaikos taking the first two sets (25-27, 19-25), Olympiakos reacting after a thriller in the third (29-27) and the "greens" leaving with the victory after a terrible match in the fourth (23-25).

An incredible duel between Anthoulis and Tsitsigiannis who kept their teams upright throughout the match.

The match

Panathinaikos entered the match strongly with Anae playing the lead role and defeating Olympiakos' reception several times, while Papafotiou's smart pass brought the score to 5-7. Anae continued to break the block of the "red and whites", but Koumboura with Salas and Emmanuilidou, brought Mitseli's team to a position of strength (12-11). In fact, the "red and white" managed to extend their lead and find themselves at 4 points for the first time with Yiannis Kalmazidis calling a time-out. The "greens" woke up and managed to balance the match again with the excellent attacks "made" by Papafotiou and Anthoulis ended successfully with Grotous and Anae for 21-21. Carraro's ace and Sala's block put the hosts back in front 23-21. Nevertheless, the team of Yiannis Kalmazidis reacted and took advantage of their only set ball, making it 25-27 and the lead in the sets.

In the second set, Panathinaikos was leading 3-1 with Anthoulis and Papafotiou, but Olympiacos immediately equalized 3-3. The "red and white" managed to reach 3-3, but Medits and Grotous threw a party in the net and brought Panathinaikos to +4. The second set turned into a performance for a role after Panathinaikos took advantage of the successive mistakes of the "red and whites" and even led by eight points (11-19)! Lorenzo Mitseli's team tried with Tsitsigianni to close the gap, but the reception of Panathinaikos "tightened" and the set ended with Anthoulis making it 19-25.

The third set started in a similar way as Panathinaikos with Gross and Anthoulis found a quick +4 (5-9). Nevertheless, Lorenzo Miceli's timeout was what turned the "button" for Olympiacos, with Carraro, Tsitsigianni and Salas bringing the score to 12-11! The "green" remained in front of the score for quite some time with the MVP, Martha Anthoulis continuing to break the "red and white" block with the streak jumping to 7-0. Olympiacos, however, showed their spirit and with Salas as the main protagonist and Tsitsigianni as a hidden card, turned the match into a thriller with the score coming to 26-27 in favor of Panathinaikos. In the last attack, Anae got the point, but Papafotiou found the net, as a result of which the phase was examined and the point was awarded to Olympiakos for 27-27. So Salas with two consecutive points made it 29-27 and reduced to 2-1 in the sets for the "red and white".

Variation for strong nerves in the fourth set with the lead constantly changing hands and Olympiakos leaving for the first time at +4 (6-2) forcing Giannis Kalmazidis to call a timeout. Panathinaikos went on a powerful 4-0 run that put them ahead on the scoreboard, with the tie becoming from that point onward... permanence. At the most crucial point, Panathinaikos went ahead with three thanks to the excellent creation of Papafotiou and the executive skill of Anae and Grotous, at the moment when Medits and Anthoulis made it difficult with their service for the "red and white" reception. Salas and Tsitsigianni brought the score to a tie again at 20-20, but the coolly built attacks from Panathinaikos gave them the match with 23-25 for the final 3-1 in the sets.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός σε ένα τρομερό ματς στου Ρέντη πήρε και τον δεύτερο τελικό (1-3 σετ) κόντρα στον Ολυμπιακό έκανε το 2-0 στη σειρά των τελικών και πήρε μεγάλο προβάδισμα για τον τίτλο!

Έκανε το «4 στα 4» κόντρα στον Ολυμπιακό και πήρε γερό προβάδισμα τίτλου ο Παναθηναϊκός! Η ομάδα του Γιάννη Καλμαζίδη σε ένα εντυπωσιακό ντέρμπι στο «Μελίνα Μερκούρη» επικράτησε 3-1 σετ, έκανε το 2-0 στη σειρά των τελικών της Volley League γυναικών και περιμένει τον «αιώνιο» αντίπαλο στο κλειστό του ΟΑΚΑ το Σάββατο (6/5) για να κάνει το 3-0 και να πανηγυρίσει το 25ο πρωτάθλημα.

Συγκλονιστική διακύμανση στο ματς με τον Παναθηναϊκό να παίρνει τα δύο πρώτα σετ (25-27, 19-25), τον Ολυμπιακό να αντιδρά έπειτα από θρίλερ στο τρίτο (29-27) και τις «πράσινες» να φεύγουν με τη νίκη μετά από τρομερό ματς στο τέταρτο (23-25).

Απίθανη μονομαχία μεταξύ Ανθούλη και Τσιτσιγιάννη που κράτησαν όρθιες τις ομάδες τους καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια του ματς.

Το ματς

Ο Παναθηναϊκός μπήκε δυνατά στο ματς με την Ανάε να πρωταγωνιστεί και να νικά αρκετές φορές την υποδοχή του Ολυμπιακού ενώ και το έξυπνο πέρασμα της Παπαφωτίου έφεραν το σκορ στο 5-7. Η Ανάε συνέχισε να σπάει το μπλοκ των «ερυθρολεύκων» όμως η Κούμπουρα με την Σάλας και την Εμμανουηλίδου, έφεραν την ομάδα του Μιτσέλι σε θέση ισχύος (12-11). Μάλιστα οι «ερυθρόλευκες» κατάφεραν να διευρύνουν το προβάδισμα τους και να βρεθούν για πρώτη φορά στους 4 πόντους με τον Γιάννη Καλμαζίδη να καλεί τάιμ άουτ. Οι «πράσινες» αφυπνίστηκαν και κατάφεραν να ισορροπήσουν και πάλι το ματς με τις εξαιρετικές επιθέσεις που «έφτιαχνε» η Παπαφωτίου και τελείωναν επιτυχημένα η Ανθούλη με την Γκρότους και την Ανάε για το 21-21. Ο άσσος της Καράρο και το μπλοκ της Σάλας έφεραν ξανά μπροστά τις γηπεδούχες με 23-21. Παρόλα αυτά η ομάδα του Γιάννη Καλμαζίδη έβγαλε αντίδραση και εκμεταλλεύθηκε το μοναδικό της set ball κάνοντας το 25-27 και το προβάδισμα στα σετ.

Στο δεύτερο σετ ο Παναθηναϊκός βρέθηκε να προηγείται 3-1 με την Ανθούλη και την Παπαφωτίου, όμως ο Ολυμπιακός ισοφάρισε άμεσα 3-3. Οι «ερυθρόλευκες» κατάφεραν να φτάσουν στο 3-3 όμως η Μέντιτς με την Γκρότους έκαναν πάρτι στο φιλέ και έφεραν τον Παναθηναϊκό στο +4. Το δεύτερο σετ μετατράπηκε σε παράσταση για έναν ρόλο αφού ο Παναθηναϊκός εκμεταλλεύθηκε τα διαδοχικά λάθη των «ερυθρολεύκων» και έφτασε να προηγείται μέχρι και με οκτώ πόντους διαφορά (11-19)! Η ομάδα του Λορέντσο Μιτσέλι προσπάθησε με την Τσιτσιγιάννη να ροκανίσει τη διαφορά όμως η υποδοχή του Παναθηναϊκού «έσφιξε» και το σετ τελείωσε με την Ανθούλη να κανει το 19-25.

Με ανάλογο τρόπο ξεκίνησε και το τρίτο σετ καθώς ο Παναθηναϊκός με την Γκρος και την Ανθούλη βρήκε γρήγορο +4 (5-9). Παρόλα αυτά το τάιμ άουτ του Λορέντσο Μιτσέλι ήταν αυτό που γύρισε το «κουμπί» για τον Ολυμπιακό, με την Καράρο, την Τσιτσιγιάννη και την Σάλας να φέρνουν το σκορ στο 12-11! Οι «πράσινες» παρέμειναν μπροστά στο σκορ για αρκετή ώρα με την MVP, Μάρθα Ανθούλη να συνεχίζει να σπάει το «ερυθρόλευκο» μπλοκ με το σερί να εκτινάσσεται στο 7-0. Ο Ολυμπιακός όμως έβγαλε ψυχή και με μεγάλη πρωταγωνίστρια την Σάλας και κρυφό χαρτί την Τσιτσιγιάννη, γύρισε το ματς το οποίο έγινε θρίλερ με το σκορ να έρχεται στο 26-27 υπέρ του Παναθηναϊκού. Στην τελευταία επίθεση η Ανάε πήρε τον πόντο όμως η Παπαφωτίου είχε βρει στο φιλέ με αποτέλεσμα η φάση να εξετασθεί και ο πόντος να κατοχυρωθεί στον Ολυμπιακό για το 27-27. Έτσι η Σάλας με δύο διαδοχικούς πόντους έκανε το 29-27 και μείωσε σε 2-1 στα σετ για τις «ερυθρόλευκες».

Διακύμανση για γερά νεύρα στο τέταρτο σετ με το προβάδισμα να αλλάζει συνεχώς χέρια και τον Ολυμπιακό να φεύγει για πρώτη φορά στο +4 (6-2) αναγκάζοντας τον Γιάννη Καλμαζίδη να καλέσει τάιμ άουτ. Ο Παναθηναϊκός έτρεξε ένα δυναμικό σερί 4-0 το οποίο τον έφερε μπροστά στο σκορ, με την ισοπαλία να γίνεται από εκείνο το σημείο και έπειτα... μονιμότητα. Στο κρισιμότερο σημείο ο Παναθηναϊκός έφυγε μπροστά με τρεις χάρη στην εξαιρετική δημιουργία της Παπαφωτίου και την εκτελεστική δεινότητα από την Ανάε και την Γκρότους, την στιγμή που η Μέντιτς και η Ανθούλη δυσκόλευαν με το σερβίς τους την «ερυθρόλευκη» υποδοχή. Η Σάλας και η Τσιτσιγιάννη έφεραν το σκορ στην ισοπαλία και πάλι 20-20 όμως οι ψύχραιμα χτισμένες επιθέσεις από πλευράς Παναθηναϊκού του έδωσαν και το ματς με 23-25 για το τελικό 3-1 στα σετ.
