PAOK: Announced the acquisition of Dimitri Rivers

He played twice against PAOK in the BCL in which he made very good appearances while he averaged 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds from the beginning of the season in the Czech league and the BCL.

"PAOK Mateco announces the agreement with the American basketball player Demetre Rivers, until the end of the 2021-22 season and with the prospect of renewing the cooperation for another year. Demetre Rivers is expected on Thursday (30/12) in Thessaloniki, in order to integrate directly into our team.

Demetre Rivers is not unknown to PAOK mateco, as he was faced with our team during this season in both games with Nymburk. In the game that took place in Prague, he made one of his best appearances this year (16 points, 5 rebounds).

Born on December 7, 1995 in Goose Creek, North Carolina, Demetre Rivers is 2m.03 tall and competes as a forward. He is a graduate of Mercer College and in his last year (2017-18) he had 10.9 points and 3.2 rebounds.

He started his professional career from Latvia in the 2018-19 season (17.5 points with KK Parnu in 16 games of the Latvian championship), continued in Hungary in the 2019-20 season and Sopron (13.5 points in 21 games) , while he stayed in the same country the following year (2020-21), but with the Kaposvari jersey, with which he had (17.2 points in 34 games).

"Since the beginning of this season he has been playing in Nymburk and in 24 games (in the Czech league, but also in the BCL), he had 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds".

Παίκτης του ΠΑΟΚ είναι επίσημα ο Ντιμίτρι Ρίβερς με την ομάδα της Θεσσαλονίκης να ανακοινώνει την απόκτησή του μέχρι το τέλος της σεζόν, με προοπτική ανανέωσης για ακόμα ένα χρόνο.

Με την προσθήκη του Ντιμίτρι Ρίβερς ενισχύθηκε ο ΠΑΟΚ μέχρι το τέλος της σεζόν, με την ομάδα της Θεσσαλονίκης να ανακοινώνει την απόκτησή από τη Νίμπουρκ. Στο συμβόλαιο του Ρίβερς υπάρχει προοπτική ανανέωσης για ακόμα ένα χρόνο και αγωνίζεται στη θέση του φόργουορντ.

Αγωνίστηκε δύο φορές κόντρα στον ΠΑΟΚ στο πλαίσιο του BCL στα οποία πραγματοποίησε πολύ καλές εμφανίσεις ενώ συνολικά είχε μέσο όρο 8,9 πόντους και 5,1 ριμπάουντ από την αρχή της σεζόν στο πρωτάθλημα της Τσεχίας και το BCL.

"Η ΚΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ mateco ανακοινώνει την συμφωνία με τον Αμερικανό καλαθοσφαιριστή Demetre Rivers, μέχρι το τέλος της αγωνιστικής περιόδου 2021-22 και με την προοπτική ανανέωσης της συνεργασίας για έναν ακόμη χρόνο. Ο Demetre Rivers αναμένεται την Πέμπτη (30/12) στη Θεσσαλονίκη, προκειμένου να ενσωματωθεί άμεσα στην ομάδα μας.

Ο Demetre Rivers δεν είναι άγνωστος στον ΠΑΟΚ mateco, καθώς βρέθηκε αντιμέτωπος με την ομάδα μας στη διάρκεια της φετινής σεζόν και στα δύο παιχνίδια με τη Nymburk. Στο παιχνίδι που έγινε στην Πράγα πραγματοποίησε μία από τις καλύτερες φετινές του εμφανίσεις (16 πόντοι, 5 ριμπάουντ).

Ο Demetre Rivers γεννήθηκε στις 7 Δεκεμβρίου 1995 στο Goose Creek στη Βόρεια Καρολίνα, έχει ύψος 2μ.03 και αγωνίζεται ως φόργουορντ. Είναι απόφοιτος του κολεγίου Mercer και την τελευταία του χρονιά (2017-18) είχε 10,9 πόντους και 3,2 ριμπάουντ.

Ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική του καριέρα από την Λετονία τη σεζόν 2018-19 (17,5 πόντοι με την KK Parnu σε 16 παιχνίδια του Λετονικού πρωταθλήματος), συνέχισε στην Ουγγαρία την σεζόν 2019-20 και την Sopron (13,5 πόντοι σε 21 παιχνίδια), ενώ έμεινε στην ίδια χώρα και την επόμενη χρονιά (2020-21), αλλά με τη φανέλα της Kaposvari, με την οποία είχε (17,2 πόντους σε 34 παιχνίδια).
