Σε ένα ματς που οι δύο ομάδες έπαιζαν ελεύθερα και. χωρίς κίνητρο, η Αρμάνι Μιλάνο ήταν αυτή που χαμογέλασε και έκλεισε την ευρωπαϊκή της σεζόν με νίκη, επικρατώντας της ΤΣΣΚΑ Μόσχας με 83-73 στον μικρό τελικό του Final Four της EuroLeague. Με την απογοήτευση και των δύο ομάδων να είναι εμφανής, Ιτούδης και Μεσίνα έδωσαν χρόνο συμμετοχής και στους παίκτες που δεν "φάνηκαν" ιδιαίτερα κατά τη διάρκεια της σεζόν.

Με αλλαγές στις αρχικές συνθέσεις των ομάδων, η ΤΣΣΚΑ αν και βρέθηκε από νωρίς πίσω με πέντε πόντους, γύρισε το ματς υπέρ της και έκλεισε την πρώτη περίοδο στο +3. Η Αρμάνι παγίδευσε την ΤΣΣΚΑ με την άμυνά της και πήγε στα αποδυτήρια προηγούμενη στο ημίχρονο με έξι πόντους, τη μεγαλύτερη διαφορά που εξασφάλισε η μία εκ των δύο ομάδων στα 20 πρώτα αγωνιστικά λεπτά.
Στο δεύτερο μισό του αγώνα, η Αρμάνι πήρε μία διαφορά οκτώ πόντων που... εξανεμίστηκε άμεσα. Οι Ρώσοι έμειναν μέσα στο ματς, ισοφάρισαν και δεν άφησαν του Ιταλούς να ξεφύγουν. Με όπλο την καλή της, ανά διαστήματα, άμυνα η Άρμάνι έκλεισε και το τρίτο δεκάλεπτο προηγούμενη με μόλις τρεις πόντους.
