Ο Αντετοκούνμπο μπήκε στο ματς με πόστερ κάρφωμα απέναντι στον Ντουράντ, όμως ο Τζόρνταν έκανε σπουδαία δουλειά μέχρι το 11-16 στο 5', το ίδιο και ο KD παρά το γεγονός ότι είχε τρία λάθη νωρίς στο παιχνίδι. Οι Νετς κράτησαν το προβάδισμα (20-26) και πήγαν και στο +12 (23-35 στο 11') με τρίποντο του Σάμετ από τη δεξιά γωνία, έκλεισαν την πρώτη περίοδο με σημαντικό προβάδισμα και είχαν οκτώ σκόρερ την ώρα που οι γηπεδούχοι είχαν πάρει και τους 28 πόντους τους από Χόλιντεϊ, Μίντλετον και Γιάννη.
