Premier League: Second time in so many times ... twice the same day!
Just for the second time in the history of the first division of English football, even before the formation of the Premier League, four teams got a "double" in matches held on the same day!
West Ham climbed to the top 4 after a 3-2 win at Crystal Palace, Leeds beat Newcastle 2-1, City temporarily reached the top by breaking West Brom to a final score of 5-0 and Arsenal took revenge from Southampton for the exclusion in the Cup reaching 3-1.
With four league matches being won by the guest on the same day of the games, this is only the second time in the history of the first division of English football!
In fact, the immediately preceding one was on September 17, 1991, before there was even the well-known Premier League, when then West Ham was again imposed with the final 3-2 at the headquarters of Crystal Palace!
The other victories were the 1-0 of KPR at the home of Luton, the passage of Everton with the same score from Manchester against City and the 3-1 of Notts County at the "home" of Sheffield United!

*** Premier League: Δεύτερη φορά στα χρονικά τόσα... διπλά την ίδια μέρα!
Μόλις για δεύτερη φορά στην ιστορία της πρώτης κατηγορίας του αγγλικού ποδοσφαίρου, ακόμα και πριν την σύσταση της Premier League, τέσσερις ομάδες πήραν «διπλό» σε ματς που διεξήχθησαν την ίδια μέρα!
Η Γουέστ Χαμ ανέβηκε στην 4άδα μετά το 3-2 στην έδρα της Κρίσταλ Πάλας, η Λιντς πέρασε από το Νιούκαστλ με το υπέρ της 2-1, η Σίτι έπιασε προσωρινά κορυφή διαλύοντας την Γουέστ Μπρομ με το τελικό 5-0 και η Άρσεναλ πήρε εκδίκηση από την Σαουθάμπτον για τον αποκλεισμό στο Κύπελλο φτάνοντας στο 3-1.
Με τέσσερις αναμετρήσεις πρωταθλήματος να έχουν νικητή τον φιλοξενούμενο με ίδια ημέρα διεξαγωγής των αγώνων, αυτό συμβαίνει μόλις για δεύτερη φορά στα χρονικά της πρώτης κατηγορίας του αγγλικού ποδοσφαίρου!
Μάλιστα, η αμέσως προηγούμενη ήταν την 17η Σεπτέμβρη του 1991, πριν καν υπάρξει η γνωστή σε όλους μας Premier League, όταν τότε ξανά η Γουέστ Χαμ είχε επιβληθεί με το τελικό 3-2 στην έδρα της Κρίσταλ Πάλας!
Οι υπόλοιπες νίκες ήταν το 1-0 της ΚΠΡ στην έδρα της Λούτον, το πέρασμα της Έβερτον με το ίδιο σκορ από το Μάντσεστερ κόντρα στην Σίτι και το 3-1 της Νοτς Κάουντι στο «σπίτι» της Σέφιλντ Γιουνάιτεντ!
