Στη βελτίωση των βασικών αρχών στάθηκε σε «τιτίβισμα» του ο τεχνικός του Παναθηναϊκού, Ρικ Πιτίνο, λίγες ώρες πριν την αναχώρηση της αποστολής των «πράσινων» για το Κάουνας, όπου την Παρασκευή (18/1, 20:00) θα αντιμετωπίσουν τη Ζαλγκίρις.
«Οι βασικές αρχές είναι το κλειδί», έγραψε στον προσωπικό του λογαριασμό στο twitter ο 66χρονος τεχνικός και πρόσθεσε: «Σε κάθε κατάσταση που ανέλαβα, οι βασικοί λόγοι της ήττας δεν ήταν το ταλέντο ή η κακή συμπεριφορά, αλλά η ανάγκη για συγκεκριμένη βελτίωση των βασικών σε όλες τις φάσεις του αγώνα. Ο Παναθηναϊκός δουλεύει σκληρά για να γίνει καλύτερος. Έχει ένα εξαιρετικό γκρουπ παικτών» έγραψε ο κόουτς των πρασίνων.
