Ο Μάικ Ντ’ Αντόνι υπογράμμισε πως οι Χιούστον Ρόκετς θέλουν την εφετινή σεζόν το πρωτάθλημα και πως θα πρέπει να δουλέψουν σκληρά για να τα καταφέρουν στο τέλος. Ο τεχνικός των «ρουκετών» εμφανίστηκε αισιόδοξος για τη νέα αγωνιστική περίοδο και έβαλε ψηλά τον πήχη. 

Χαρακτηριστικά, ο Ντ’ Αντόνι: «Δεν νομίζω πως θα είμαστε ικανοποιημένοι με τίποτα λιγότερο από το πρωτάθλημα. Έχουμε πολύ δουλειά μπροστά μας να κάνουμε».
