Ο Ολυμπιακός έχασε πέναλτι, είχε δοκάρι, είδε το παιχνίδι με τον Λεβαδειακό να... στραβώνει επικίνδυνα, αλλά ο Λάζαρος Χριστοδουλόπουλος του χάρισε την πρώτη του νίκη στο πρωτάθλημα (1-0) με άλλο ένα «ερυθρόλευκο» γκολ του!

Όποιος περίμενε διαφορετική εικόνα αγώνα στο Καραϊσκάκη από αυτή που είχε το ματς από τα πρώτα κιόλας λεπτά του, προφανώς δεν έχει δει ούτε πολύ εντός έδρας Ολυμπιακό, ούτε εκτός έδρας Λεβαδειακό. Με το «καλημέρα», η ομάδα του Άκη Μάντζιου που αντιμετώπισε πολλά προβλήματα μακριά από τη Λιβαδειά πέρσι (σ.σ. μόλις μια νίκη εκτός) υποχρεώθηκε γρήγορα σε εντελώς παθητικό ρόλο, με τον Ολυμπιακό αντίθετα να φτάνει μετά από 45 λεπτά να έχει κατοχή μπάλας στο 75%.

Οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» πήραν αμέσως τον έλεγχο του αγώνα, κράτησαν τη μπάλα στα πόδια τους προσπαθώντας να έχουν γρήγορη κυκλοφορία και πίεση «ψηλά» προς την περιοχή του αντιπάλου. Απέναντι όμως σε έναν πλήρως οπισθοχωρημένο αντίπαλο που έπαιξε σκληρά και δεν είχε διάθεση να αφήσει τον ρυθμό του αγώνα να ξεφύγει, αντιμετώπισε αρκετά προβλήματα σε τακτικό επίπεδο.

Χωρίς κίνηση, χωρίς φάσεις

Η ομάδα του Μαρτίνς δοκίμασε να απειλήσει κυρίως με στατικές φάσεις, χωρίς να έχει πολλή κίνηση στα χαφ, ενώ δεν βρήκε και πολλές καλές κάθετες ή παιχνίδι από τα άκρα στο πρώτο ημίχρονο κόντρα σε μια μαζική και πολυπρόσωπη άμυνα που πλην ελαχίστων εξαιρέσεων, έκανε αποτελεσματικά τη δουλειά της. Εμφανής για τον Ολυμπιακό πάντως και η απουσία του Ποντένσε από την ενδεκάδα, αφού ο Πορτογάλος προσφέρει ακριβώς όλα όσα έλειψαν: κίνηση χωρίς τη μπάλα, ατομική ενέργεια, καλή και γρήγορη πάσα.

Σαν συνέπεια όλων αυτών, από το ξεκίνημα του ματς στο Φάληρο και στα επόμενα 45 λεπτά, οι καλές φάσεις μπροστά από τις δύο εστίες δεν ήταν πολλές. Πρώτος απείλησε ο Λεβαδειακός στο 2' με μια προβολή άουτ του Σουμπίνιο, ενώ στο 4' και το 5' ο Ολυμπιακός είχε δύο καλές επιθέσεις από την πλευρά του. Στην πρώτη ο Ομάρ δεν κατάφερε να κάνει το γύρισμα από καλή θέση ενώ στη δεύτερη, η κεφαλιά του Γκερέρο μετά από εξαιρετική σέντρα του Τσιμίκα, πέρασε άουτ. Στα επόμενα αρκετά λεπτά στο πρώτο 45λεπτο και με τον Ολυμπιακό να... γυροφέρνει την περιοχή του Επασί, υπήρξαν μόνο κάποια μακρινά σουτ για τους Πειραιώτες και άλλα δύο τέτοια από Νανγκί, Γκερέρο για τους φιλοξενούμενους.

Κράτησε το «μηδέν» ο Επασί

Η πρώτη ουσιαστική μεγάλη ευκαιρία για την ομάδα του Μαρτίνς ήταν αυτή του 38', όταν ο Καμαρά σούταρε άουτ μέσα από την περιοχή, μετά από κόρνερ του Φορτούνη. Ένα λεπτό αργότερα, ο Επασί έσωσε την διπλή προσπάθεια του Λάζαρου μέσα από την περιοχή, ενώ 41' ο Ολυμπιακός είχε τη μεγαλύτερή του ευκαιρία για το 1-0. Μετά από πολύ ωραία ατομική προσπάθεια του Φορτούνη που μπήκε στην περιοχή, ο Ζησόπουλος τον ανέτρεψε και ο ρέφερι έδειξε τη λευκή βούλα. Ο Τρικαλινός χαφ ήταν ο ίδιος που το εκτέλεσε στο 42', όμως και πάλι ο Επασί, με μια εξαιρετική προσπάθεια έπεσε στη γωνία του και κράτησε το 0-0. Το πρώτο ημίχρονο ολοκληρώθηκε χωρίς σκορ και με διαμαρτυρίες του Ολυμπιακού για ένα χέρι του Ντιόγκο στην περιοχή.

Τον «ανέβασε» ο Μαρτίνς

Με την έναρξη του δεύτερου μέρους, ο Μαρτίνς προσπάθησε να επέμβει γρήγορα στο ματς κάνοντας δύο αλλαγές, αντικαθιστώντας τους Πάρντο και Τοροσίδη με Χασάν και Μπουχαλάκη. Για αρκετά λεπτά οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» ψάχτηκαν και πάλι στον αγωνιστικό χώρο, ειδικά από τη στιγμή που είχε αλλάξει και ελαφρώς ο σχηματισμός που περισσότερο θύμιζε κάτι σαν 4-4-2 σε ρόμβο. Ωστόσο, μετά από ένα αργό δεκάλεπτο, οι γηπεδούχοι άρχισαν και πάλι να βρίσκουν ρυθμό και να απειλούν, έχοντας πλέον περισσότερους παίκτες μέσα στην περιοχή του Επασί.

Ολυμπιακός vs Επασί, τη λύση ο Λάζαρος

Στο 49' ο Χασάν είχε μια προβολή άουτ μετά από γύρισμα του Ομάρ, ενώ δέκα λεπτά ακόμη αργότερα, ο Αιγύπτιος είδε τη μπάλα να σταματά στο δεξί δοκάρι του Επασί, στο πλασέ που δοκίμασε. Ένα λεπτό μετά, ο επιθετικός του Ολυμπιακού έχασε νέα μεγάλη ευκαιρία, όταν το εντυπωσιακό «ψαλίδι» που δοκίμασε μετά το γύρισμα του Ομάρ, κατέληξε ελάχιστα άουτ.

Ότι δεν κατάφερε σε αυτές τις φάσεις, τελικά ο Ολυμπιακός το πέτυχε σε μια ακόμη στατική φάση. Ήταν το 62ο λεπτό όταν ο Χριστοδουλόπουλος εκτέλεσε από τα 25 μέτρα ένα από τα πολλά φάουλ που κέρδισαν οι Πειραιώτες στο ματς και έστειλε τη μπάλα στη γωνία του Επασί. Αυτή ήταν πάντως και η μοναδική φάση στην οποία ο γκολκίπερ του Λεβαδειακού έκανε κακή εκτίμηση της φάσης, αφού δεν δοκίμασε καν να πέσει. Κάπως έτσι, με τον Ολυμπιακό να παίζει μονότερμα τον αντίπαλο συνεχίστηκε το ματς μέχρι το τέλος του, με τον Επασί να συνεχίζει να «βγάζει» ευκαιρίες.

Στο 66' μετά από εξαιρετική πίεση και αντεπίθεση του Ολυμπιακού, Λάζαρος, Χασάν και Γκερέρο συνδυάστηκαν, με τον Ισπανό να νικιέται από τον γκολκίπερ των Βοιωτών στο τετ-α-τετ. Αυτός νίκησε και τον Φορτούνη στο 69' που δοκίμασε ένα διαγώνιο σουτ μετά από εκτέλεση κόρνερ, ενώ δεν βρήκαν στόχο για την ομάδα του Μαρτίνς ούτε οι καλές προσπάθειες των Καμαρά (76') και Γκερέρο (76', 82', 90+2'). Στα τελευταία λεπτά ο Ολυμπιακός έδωσε λίγο χώρο στον αντίπαλο περιορίζοντας τα δικά του ρίσκα και αφού διαχειρίστηκε αυτό το 1-0 ως το τελευταίο σφύριγμα, ξεκίνησε και αυτός με το δεξί τη νέα σεζόν στο ελληνικό πρωτάθλημα.
