Τον διάδοχο του Αρσέν Βενγκέρ στο πρόσωπο του Ουνάι Έμερι βρήκε η Άρσεναλ, με τον Ισπανό τεχνικό να παραλαμβάνει επίσημα το «χρίσμα».
Τέλος εποχής και με την «βούλα» για την Άρσεναλ. Μετά από 22 χρόνια στα οποία ο Αρσέν Βενγκέρ βρισκόταν στην τεχνική ηγεσία της ομάδας από σήμερα υπάρχει αλλαγή σκυτάλης.
Ο πρώην προπονητής της Παρί Σεν Ζερμέν, Ουνάι Έμερι, αναλαμβάνει το δύσκολο έργο να αντικαταστήσει τον Αλσατό και να βοηθήσει τους «κανονιέρηδες» να επιστρέψουν στην διεκδίκηση τίτλων.
Μετά από δύο πετυχημένα χρόνια στην γαλλική ομάδα στα οποία κατέκτησε ένα πρωτάθλημα, δύο κύπελλα Γαλλίας, ισάριθμα Λιγκ Καπ και Σούπερ Καπ, ο Ισπανός άλλοτε τεχνικός της Σεβίλλης για πρώτη φορά στην καριέρα του μετακομίζει στην Premier League.
Με τους Ανδαλουσιανούς ο Έμερι είχε κατακτήσει τρία σερί τρόπαια στο Uefa Europa League και πλέον καλείται να επαναφέρει την Άρσεναλ στην ελίτ του ευρωπαϊκού ποδοσφαίρου στο «νέο κεφάλαιο» της ομάδας του Λονδίνου.
