Παράγοντας πρώτος, λοιπόν, για τη νέα εποχή ο προπονητής. Επόμενος οι ποδοσσφαιριστές - σούπερ σταρ αυτής της «σελεσάο»: ο Νεϊμάρ, ο Φιρμίνο, ο Μαρσέλο,ο Γουίλιαν, ο Κουτίνιο, ο Τιάγκο Σίλβα, ο Γκαμπριέλ Ζέσους, ο Ντούγκλας Κόστα. Άπαντες γνωστοί στην Ευρώπη, πρώτος εξ αυτών φυσικά ο Νεϊμάρ, ο οποίος μάλιστα είχε δώσει το περιβραχιόνιο μετά τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Ρίο (όπου η Βραζιλία κατέκτησε το χρυσό μετάλλιο) και το ξαναφόρεσε την περασμένη Τρίτη στη νίκη με 3-0 επί της Παραγουάης, όπου σφραγίστηκε η πρόκριση στα γήπεδα της Ρωσίας.

Το φοβερό δίδυμο της Λίβερπουλ, ο Κουτίνιο και ο Φιρμίνο, είναι σε εξαιρετική αγωνιστική κατάσταση, κάθε σεζόν και καλύτεροι. Ο Γουίλιαν είναι πολύ καλή λύση για τη θέση πίσω από τον επθετικό και πραγματικά λίγες άλλες εθνικές ομάδες έχουν τέτοιες ποιοτικές επιλογές στην επίθεση.

Ο Ντούγκλας Κόστα, μπορεί να έχει χάσει τα τελευταία παιχνίδια λόγω τραυματισμού, αλλά παραμένει ένας από τους καλύτερους ντριμπλέρ στον κόσμο, ενώ το νέο αστέρι της Μάντσεστερ Σίτι, Γκαμπριέλ Ζέσους ήταν το εννιάρι της ομάδας πριν από τον σοβαρό τραυματισμό του.  

Στην άμυνα ο Τιάγκο Σίλβα είναι εγγύηση, παρά το γεγονός ότι ακόμα δεν έχει ξεκινήσει βασικός σε παιχνίδι της Βραζιλίας όσο είναι στον πάγκο ο Τίτε. Από κοντά να δίνουν σημαντικές λύσεις ο Ντάνι Άλβες και ο Φιλίπε Λουίς. 

Ο Άλισον, ο Μοράντα, ο Ρενάντο Αουγκούστο, ο Κασεμίρο ο οποίος καθιερώθηκε ως παίκτης παγκόσμιας κλάσης τον τελευταίο ένα χρόνο στη Ρεάλ, ο Φερναντίνιο, ο Παουλίνιο, ο Τζουλιάνο μπορεί να μην είναι τόσο... φίρμες όσο οι προηγούμενοι, αλλά παίρνουν χρόνο συμμετοχής, καθώς μάλιστα ο Τίτε εφαρμόζει συχνά rotation δίνοντας ευκαιρίες σε όλους τους παίκτες που καλεί. 

Για παράδειγμα, ο Άλισον μπορεί να μην είναι ο βασικός τερματοφύλακας της Ρόμα, αλλά είναι παίκτης κλειδί για τη Βραζιλία. 

Ο Τίτε χρησιμοποίησε σε αυτή την προκριματική φάση ένα μείγμα πιο έμπειρων, αλλά και νεότερων ποδοσφαιριστών, οι οποίοι προέρχονταν κυρίως από την ολυμπιακή ομάδα, που κατέκτησε πέρυσι την πρώτη θέση στο Ρίο. Ο Ροντρίγκο Κάιο, ο Γκαμπριέλ Μπαρμπόσα, ο Ζόρζε, ο Γουέντελ,ο Φελίπε Άντερσον,ο Τιάγκο Μαΐα, ακόμα και ο Ραφίνια πήραν την ευκαιρία τους. 

Και υπάρχουν, φυσικά, και άλλοι Βραζιλιάνοι εξαιρετικοί παίκτες, τους οποίους ο Τίτε δεν έχει καλέσει ακόμα, αλλά θα μπορούσαν να είναι στις μελλοντικές κλήσεις: είναι ο Χουλκ που τώρα αγωνίζεται στην Κίνα, ο Λούκας Μούρα της Παρί Σεν Ζερμέν, όπως επίσης οι Λουίζ Γκουστάβο και Άλεξ Τεϊξέιρα. 

Πέντε φορές έχει κατακτήσει το Μουντιάλ η «σελεσάο». Σε κάτι περισσότερο από ενάμιση χρόνο θα ταξιδέψει στη Ρωσία «πεινασμένη» για άλλον έναν τίτλο. Είναι το φαβορί; Μπορεί... Το βέβαιο είναι ότι αυτή η Βραζιλία τρομάζει και δείχνει έτοιμη να επιστρέψει στην κορυφή του κόσμου...
