Darrel Willis (28 years old, 2.06 meters) is officially a player for Aris, with the "yellows" announcing his acquisition with a one-year contract.

It was known, now it's official. Darrel Willis (28 years old, 2.06 meters) is now a player of Mars, to confirm the information that spoke of an agreement.

Willis is Aris' second transfer acquisition in three days, after yesterday (21/11) the acquisition of Sharif Cooper was announced, who has been in Thessaloniki since yesterday (22/11).

The announcement in detail:

"ARIS Midea KAE announces the acquisition of Darral Willis until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Darral Willis was born on January 21, 1996 and is 2.06m tall. competes in the positions of center and power forward.

In his high school years, ARIS freshman Midea competed at Madison Memorial. In 2014 he joined Pearl River College where he stayed for two years.

Willis had offers from several universities and chose Wichita State, where he attended from 2016 to 2018. In his first year he had 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds and in his second year he had 10.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.

In 2018, he made his first transatlantic trip, to Cyprus, on behalf of Keravnos Strovolos. With the Cypriot team, he won the Cup, being the MVP of the final, with 40 points and 17 rebounds against AEK Larnaca. In the season, in 32 games, he had 14.7 points and 9.6 rebounds.

In the 2019-20 season he played in the Russian Nizhny Novgorod in which in a total of 29 games he counted 14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds.

In the summer of 2020 he agreed with Monaco (8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds). Midway through the 2020-21 season, he moved to Italy for Brecia, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds.

In September 2021 he returned to Russia and the VTB League on behalf of BC Enisey (13.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists) and the following season found him in the jersey of Lokomotiv Kuban, where he had 11.8 points and 7.1 rebounds.

In January 2023, he traveled to South Korea to play for the Seoul Samsung Thunders, where he averaged 18 points and 6.8 rebounds, and in the summer of the same year he signed with the Japanese Levanga Hokkaido, in which he had 15.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Last summer he signed with the also Japanese Kyoto Hannaryz and now belongs to the ARIS Midea team.

Darral Willis holds a Cypriot passport and is playing in the Eurobasket 2025 qualifiers. In the first two games he had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists per game."

Παίκτης του Άρη είναι και επίσημα ο Ντάραλ Γουίλις (28 χρονών, 2.06 μέτρα), με τους "κίτρινους" να ανακοινώνουν την απόκτησή του με μονοετές συμβόλαιο.

Ήταν γνωστό, τώρα πλέον είναι και επίσημο. Ο Ντάραλ Γουίλις (28 χρονών, 2.06 μέτρα) είναι πλέον παίκτης του Άρη, προς επιβεβαίωση των πληροφοριών που έκαναν λόγο για συμφωνία.

Ο Γουίλις αποτελεί το δεύτερο μεταγραφικό απόκτημα του Άρη σε διάστημα τριών ημερών, αφού προχθές (21/11) ανακοινώθηκε η απόκτηση του Σαρίφ Κούπερ, ο οποίος βρίσκεται από χθες (22/11) στην Θεσσαλονίκη.

"Η ΚΑΕ ΑΡΗΣ Midea ανακοινώνει την απόκτηση του Darral Willis μέχρι το τέλος της αγωνιστικής περιόδου 2024-25.

Ο Darral Willis είναι γεννηθείς στις 21 Ιανουαρίου του 1996 και με ύψος 2.06μ. αγωνίζεται στις θέσεις του σέντερ και του πάουερ φόργουορντ.

Στα γυμνασιακά χρόνια του, ο νέος αθλητής του ΑΡΗ Midea αγωνίστηκε στο Madison Memorial. Το 2014 εντάχθηκε στο κολέγιο του Pearl River στο οποίο έμεινε για δύο χρόνια.

Ο Willis είχε προσφορές από πολλά πανεπιστήμια και επέλεξε το Wichita State, στο οποίο φοίτησε από το 2016 έως το 2018. Την πρώτη χρονιά είχε 9.8 πόντους και 5.1 ριμπάουντ και τη δεύτερη 10.5 πόντους, 6.0 ριμπάουντ και 1.0 ασίστ ανά αγώνα.

Το 2018 έκανε το πρώτο υπερατλαντικό ταξίδι του, στην Κύπρο, για λογαριασμό του Κεραυνού Στροβόλου. Με την κυπριακή ομάδα κέρδισε το Κύπελλο, όντας ο MVP του τελικού, με 40 πόντους και 17 ριμπάουντ κόντρα στην ΑΕΚ Λάρνακας. Στη σεζόν, σε 32 αγώνες, είχε 14.7 πόντους και 9.6 ριμπάουντ.

Τη σεζόν 2019-20 αγωνίστηκε στη ρωσική Nizhny Novgorot στην οποία σε συνολικά 29 αγώνες μέτρησε 14.1 πόντους και 7.2 ριμπάουντ.

Το καλοκαίρι του 2020 συμφώνησε με τη Monaco (8.8 πόντοι, 4.2 ριμπάουντ). Στα μέσα της σεζόν 2020-21 μετακόμισε στην Ιταλία για λογαριασμό της Brecia, όπου είχε 10.4 πόντους και 5.4 ριμπάουντ.

Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2021 επέστρεψε στη Ρωσία και τη VTB League για λογαριασμό της BC Enisey (13.8 πόντοι, 6.2 ριμπάουντ και 1.8 ασίστ) και η επόμενη σεζόν τον βρήκε με τη φανέλα της Lokomotiv Kuban, όπου είχε 11.8 πόντους και 7.1 ριμπάουντ.

Τον Ιανουάριο του 2023 ταξίδεψε στη Νότια Κορέα για να αγωνιστεί στους Seoul Samsung Thunders, όπου μέτρησε 18 πόντους και 6.8 ριμπάουντ και το καλοκαίρι της ίδιας χρονιάς συμφώνησε με την ιαπωνική Levanga Hokkaido, στην οποία είχε 15.7 πόντους7.6 ριμπάουντ και 1.4 ασίστ.

Το περασμένο καλοκαίρι υπέγραψε στην επίσης ιαπωνική Kyoto Hannaryz και πλέον ανήκει στο δυναμικό του ΑΡΗ Midea.

Ο Darral Willis είναι κάτοχος κυπριακού διαβατηρίου και αγωνίζεται στα προκριματικά του Eurobasket 2025. Στα πρώτα δύο ματς είχε 19 πόντους, 11 ριμπάουντ και 2 ασίστ ανά αγώνα".
